Yes! We'd love to help you with your bulk order for your business, school, or nonprofit. Email our operations manager Olivia or fill out our bulk order form, and we'll send you a quote.

Yes! We're proud to partner with local, regional authors through monthly Saturday signings at the store. All our author signings are full for 2024, but please check back later to request a 2025 signing.

Yes! We ship books all over the country!

We host weekly Saturday story times, author signings, and virtual and in-person workshops. Sign up for our newsletter to receive information about upcoming shop events.

We only sell new books at The Bookshelf.

Our store has a weekly podcast called From the Front Porch, where shop owner Annie discusses books, small business, and life in the South, with a changing cast of bookish friends and booksellers. You can listen to new episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes drop every Thursday morning!

Our Reader Retreats are weekend-long events designed for long-distance customers to come visit The Bookshelf and our hometown. Our two-day retreats include all sorts of bookish programming, including a dinner party, silent reading time, workshops, book previews, a live podcast, and more. Reader Retreats are held in partnership with the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Thomasville, and your registration fee includes two meals and accommodations.

Our book-a-month club features newly released, first edition, hardcover books handselected by our staff members. The deadline to order a Shelf Subscription for the next month’s delivery is the last Tuesday of each month. Shelf Subscriptions ship on the first Tuesday of every month, and members can sign up for 1, 3, or 12 month subscriptions. We offer four different adult subscription options, as well as middle grade, chapter book, picture book, and baby board book subscriptions.

We also offer recurring subscriptions - sign up once and you'll keep receiving a monthly Shelf Subscription! You can cancel or pause at any time when you create an account on the Zoho Billing portal.
